Malisa Kurtz receives her Graduate Student Scholar Award at a recent conference in Washington, D.C.

At the recent Popular Culture Association/American Culture Association annual conference, held in Washington, D.C., Malisa Kurtz, a humanities PhD student and graduate of Brock, was awarded the 2013 science fiction/fantasy area’s 2013 Graduate Student Scholar Award for her paper entitled Becoming Animal and Multiplicity in Lauren Beukes’s Zoo City (2010).
