Marc Kielberger will be the keynote speaker at a concert at the Sean O'Sullivan Theatre to benefit his charity Free the Children and inspire youth to change the world for the better.

A well-known Canadian social activist is coming to Brock for a benefit concert at the Sean O’Sullivan Theatre.

Marc Kielburger, co-founder of Free the Children and Me to We, will be the keynote speaker at a concert benefiting his Free the Children charity that he established with his brother Craig.

The concert happens Wednesday, May 22 and features performances by Neverest, Remigio Pereira, the Niagara Symphony Orchestra, Young Stitch, Sese, Chris Witoski and Ali.

Free the Children is the world’s largest network of children helping children through education. The charity supports both local and global initiatives.

Proceeds from the concert will go to one local initiative and one global initiative. The event focuses on the message that together we can make a difference in the world, with the hope of inspiring young people to take action towards social justice and empowering them to change the world.

“Kids are our future,” said Remigio Pereira, a Niagara-native and member of The Tenors (formally the Canadian Tenors). “Brightening their day today will brighten our days tomorrow. Using our voices to entertain is one thing but using it for the betterment of humanity is everything.”

Showtime is 7:30 p.m. in the Sean O’Sullivan Theatre. A special VIP meet and greet with Pereira and Kielburger is at 6:30 p.m. in the David S. Howes Theatre lobby.

Tickets are $25 for students and $59 for adults plus HST. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $100, which includes premium seating and the pre-show wine and cheese meet and greet with Pereira and Kielburger.
