The Centre from Women’s and Gender Studies will hold a ceremony Thursday marking the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
The service will include a candlelight vigil in memorial to the 14 women murdered at Montreal’s L’Ecole Polytechnique on Dec. 6, 1989.
Wendee Kubik, associate professor of Women’s and Gender Studies will also speak and the film, Polytechnique, will be shown.
A discussion will follow the film presentation.
The service starts at 5 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m. in AS 217. All are welcome.
