Chabriol Colebatch is Brock’s copyright co-ordinator and legal adviser. Since her arrival at Brock in January, Colebatch has been helping faculty and staff understand the dos and don’ts when it comes to copyright. She lives in Niagara Falls.
What do you like best about your job?
“I like trying to figure out ways people can use copyright material as opposed to telling them they can’t. A lot of people are so used to hearing they can’t do this, they can’t do that, it’s nice to be able to say ‘You can do this’ or ‘You can do that if you do this.”
What do you do for fun?
“I play with my two-year-old son (Sunny). We’re spending our weekends exploring the area. There are so many things to do in Niagara Falls. We went to Safari Niagara on Saturday and Bird Kingdom on Sunday. It’s such a fun place to live.”
What’s your favourite place to visit or spend time in Niagara?
“I really like the Niagara Glen. It has amazing walking trails and you can walk down and almost touch the whirlpool.”
