The Faculty of Mathematics and Science at Brock are hosting a Distinguished Alumni Lecture this Friday, March 30, at the University.

The lecture will feature David Grimes, a Brock grad (BSc ’75) who is President of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). He is also Assistant Deputy Minister and Head of Environment Canada’s Meteorological Service of Canada.

Grimes will deliver a public talk on climate variability and change and share his perspective on the challenges it presents.

His talk, “Climate Variability and Change: An International Science and Policy Challenge,” takes place Friday, March 30 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Pond Inlet. This event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Grimes will also be receiving an Alumni of Distinction Award at this weekend’s celebrations taking place Saturday.
