At the 57th Annual Meeting of the Renaissance Society of America, held in Montreal on March 24 to 27, Brock was represented by three faculty members presenting the following papers:
Matthew Royal (Music): “Reconciling Rhythmopoeia and Rhythmic Diversity: Mersenne’s Humanistic Prescriptions for Seventeenth-Century Dance.”
Felipe Ruan (Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures): “Galateo español: A Courtesy Manual in Spain and Spanish America.”
Elizabeth Sauer (English): “The Legacy of A.S.P. Woodhouse’s Puritanism and Liberty.”
In addition to teaching in their own departments, all three faculty are members of Brock’s Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies.
