PhD in Psychology – William Tays

William Tays, PhD student in Psychology, will present his thesis defence on Thursday, March 3 at 2 pm in Plaza 600F. The title of his thesis is “Electrocortical Indices of Cognitive Control in Working Memory: Exploring the Effects of Proactive Interference, Cognitive Load, and Aging.” Examining committee members are: Bareket Falk, chair; Robert West, Iowa State University, external examiner; Jane Dywan, supervisor; Allan Adkin, internal examiner; Karen Arnell and Sid Segalowitz, committee members. Glynnis Fleming — Master of Education

Glynnis Fleming will present her thesis defence on Monday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. in WH 147. The title of the thesis is “Teachers’ Development and Negotiation of Meaning About Mathematics-for-Teaching Through the Use of Ontario Bansho Within Communities of Practice.” External examiner: Marian Small, professor emerita, University of New Brunswick; supervisor: Coral Mitchell; committee members: Renee Kuchapski and Ralph Connelly; chair of the examining committee: Susan Drake. Master of Science — Briar Komenda

Briar Komenda (MSc Kinesiology) will defend her thesis on Friday, March 4 from 2 to 5 p.m. in WC204B. Thesis title: The Effect of a Stickhandling and Puck Control (SPC) Training Intervention on SPC Skills and Wrist Shot Performance Variables in Female College. Master of Arts — Jarold Chinnick

Jarold Chinnick (MA Leisure Studies) will defend his thesis on Wednesday, March 9 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. in WH147. Title: A Case Study of the Implementation of Experiential Education in Yukon Schools.
