An ultimate fighter and the host of Cash Cab Canada will help the Brock University Students’ Union officially open its on-campus dollar store on Wednesday, Feb. 9.

Sean Pierson, an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight and Brock alumnus, and Adam Growe, host of the Discovery Channel’s Cash Cab, will be on hand to sign autographs and pose for photos. Their appearance will mark the grand opening of the General Brock Dollar Store, which is located in the Thistle complex next to Scotiabank.

The grand opening will start at 9 a.m. Growe will be on hand from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Pierson will appear from 2 to 3 p.m. There will also be a Cash Cab-style trivia night at Isaac’s Bar and Grill at 9 p.m. The first 100 students to come to the General Brock Dollar Store on Feb. 2 will get free tickets. Otherwise, tickets are $6.
