Students’ union looks to get the vote out

As municipal election fever heats up, the Brock University Students’ Union (BUSU) is encouraging students and the greater Brock community to vote.

To raise awareness of the upcoming Oct. 25 elections, BUSU has launched a website for students — brockvotes.com — and invited candidates to campus to pitch their platforms and answer questions.

Thorold Mayoral Debate, 5 p.m.

St. Catharines Mayoral Debate, 6 p.m.

Students can submit questions for the candidates ahead of time online (brockvotes.com) in the “Speak Up” section of their elections website.

On election day, BUSU will have voting crews leaving every hour on the hour from the Schmon Tower Welcome Desk between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to accompany students to Mountainview Church to cast their ballot.
