Master’s and PhD students, as well as undergraduate students planning to move on to graduate school, are entering a busy application period for 2011 external graduate scholarship competitions.
The major funding agencies — SSHRC, NSERC, CIHR, OGS and OGSST — annually award millions of dollars in funding packages based on the calibre of a student’s research and scholarship.
Brock’s undergraduate and graduate students have been very successful in the past. In 2010, graduate students at Brock received a combined total of more than $2.5 million in national and provincial awards and scholarships. The awards ranged in value from $15,000 to $50,000 per year.
To help inform students of the scholarship opportunities, the Faculty of Graduate Studies is holding a series of information workshops. The remaining dates for workshops are as follows:
