Possible traffic delays around Brock on Sept. 1

On Wednesday, Sept. 1, the main campus of Brock will be the site of a major Opening of Term conference held by the Niagara Catholic District School Board.

The event, which runs from 9:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., will draw up to 3,000 teachers and staff.

School board officials have directed most attendees to ride a special shuttle bus service to the Brock campus. However, a number of them will arrive in private vehicles, resulting in higher-than-normal traffic on roads in and around the university.

Brock’s Parking Services staff will make every effort to expedite traffic and parking that morning. However, anyone driving to companies or agencies around the campus that day should allow themselves more time than normal to get through the area streets.

Anyone requiring more information should contact Brent Schulz, Recreation Services manager, at 906-688-5550 x3927.
