Snow sculptures beat the winter blues

Artisans have lent some seasonal cheer to the Walker Courtyard by building a small population of snowmen.

Four snow figures were built Tuesday morning by four Education students on a break from class. One figure is perched atop a rock pile, while another, about six feet tall, looks in on The Zone.

“We had a break and decided that rather than do more work, we’d create some comic relief,” said Education student Richard Borger, who did the decorating with Jasper Schouten, Katie Dubois and Lisa Mooney.

The Weather Network is forecasting heavy snowfall for St. Catharines this week, with five to 10 cm predicted for Thursday and 10 to 15 cm Friday.
