With execution of British man, China sends a signal

Charles Burton, professor, Political Science, was quoted in the Dec. 29 Globe and Mail article “With execution of British man, China sends a signal.” Burton commented on the execution of British drug smuggler Akmal Shaikh. The country’s message, Burton said, is that China “won’t be giving foreign passport holders special consideration.”
