Boyz II Men will make a rare appearance in Canada this month when the group performs at Sean O’Sullivan Theatre.

The Brock performance Jan. 20 is one of only four Canadian appearances for the group, an R&B act that has sold more than 60 million records worldwide.

The trio – comprised of Wanya Morris, Nathan Morris and Shawn Stockman – will croon legendary love songs from artists such as Bonnie Raitt and Sam Cooke. The songs are included on the group’s most recent album, Love.

The set will also include the group’s hits over the last 20 years, including “End of the Road”, “Motownphilly” and “I’ll Make Love to You”.

This year marks two decades for Boyz II Men, which was founded when its members were students at the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts. Their name comes from a song by vocal act New Edition.

Love, which was released last November, followed a Grammy-nominated 2007 cover album, Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA.

Boyz II Men recorded Love with producer Randy Jackson, who is also a judge on American Idol.

Jackson has called Boyz II Men “the most talented vocal group of our era.”

Boyz II Men will appear in North Bay on Jan. 21, Oakville on Jan. 22 and Brampton on Jan. 23.
