Welcome back to this weeks blog post of “Take it Outside”.
Today, I will be listing and describing some popular farmers markets in the Niagara Region that are great for spending time with friends, family and supporting local businesses.
To begin, a popular and well-known market in St. Catharines is the Market Square Farmer’s Market, located just on the corner of King and James at 91 King Street.
This market is a great way to shop locally and enjoy fresh produce, while also surrounding yourself in local community greatness!
If you are looking for more than just yummy food, this market also hosts several FREE events throughout the year including: Music in the Square, Market Discovery Tables (amazing for kids), and musical events available for all who wish to enjoy and support local musicians.
This market is open year round, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 6:00 am – 2:00 pm. For more information, you can visit:

Another market that will be very popular this summer season is The Market at the Village located in Niagara on the Lake.
This market is open Saturdays from 8:00am-1:00pm, and Wednesday evenings starting at 4:30 pm- 9:00pm.
This market is a great if you are looking to experience a diverse range of foods, wines and beer that are all locally produced. Each vendor is associated with some local food organization within the Niagara region and is well worth the visit.
