The AVP, Students portfolio includes Student Life and Success, Brock Sports and Recreation, the Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre, and Student Affairs. These areas work cohesively with campus and community partners to shape the Brock student experience and support undergraduate and graduate student success.
About Brad Clarke
Brad Clarke became Associate Vice-President, Students, at Brock University on June 6, 2022.
Brad first graduated from Brock University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree focused on Child and Youth Studies. As an undergraduate, Brad was actively involved in student leadership, both within the residence system and with student government, having been elected as President of the Brock University Students’ Union in 1999/2000.
In his various Student Services roles at Brock, Brad has helped develop and implement a wide variety of new and innovative programs related to student engagement, student leadership, and community outreach. Brad has also served at the Chair of Brock University’s Human Rights Task Force and as a Co-chair of the President’s Advisory Committee on Human Rights, Equity and Decolonization.
Service is important to Brad. He has served two three-year terms as a staff representative on the Brock University Board of Trustees, and a six-year term as an executive of the University’s Alumni Association. He represents the University on numerous external committees and regularly participates in charitable activities with local organizations.
Brad holds a Master of Education (MEd) degree from Brock with a focus on administration and leadership in education. His academic interests are centered on exploring students’ co-curricular learning experiences; and on the potential for assessment activities to be a catalyst for transformative change in Student Affairs and Services.
