A Brock alumna has been recognized for her exceptional contributions at the University of British Columbia (UBC).

Dawn Hall (BSc ’02, PhD ’07) has received a 2010/2011 Faculty of Science Achievement Award at UBC. Hall is a postdoctoral fellow there.

She received an Honours BSc in 2002 and a PhD in Biological Sciences under supervisor Vincenzo DeLuca in 2007.

“During my time at Brock, I gained the critical thinking skills and scientific expertise required to transition smoothly to my role as a postdoctoral fellow at UBC,” she said.

“Throughout my PhD, the experience I gained interacting with the academic community at Brock fostered a love for service to the academe and prepared me well for my involvement in advocacy for issues affecting postdoctoral fellow at UBC.”
