Earlier today there was a fire in an electrical room on the fourth floor of B block in the Mackenzie Chown complex. The fire has been extinguished.

The Mackenzie Chown complex has been re-opened, but B block and E block will remain closed until at least 12 noon tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 1).

The 400 level of B block will remain closed until further notice.

Escorts to re-enter B and E blocks will be available to gather personal belongings ONLY. Please meet at the SMART Start desk in A block to gain access to B and E blocks.

All evening classes for today as of 5 p.m. in the Mackenzie Chown complex will go ahead as scheduled with the exception of classes taking place in B, C and E blocks (all levels).
