There’s one week left of Brock’s official United Way campaign, and two of its co-chairs are urging people to submit their pledge forms.

Greg Finn, faculty co-chair, and Kevin Lawr, who acts as co-chair with Lynne Prout, say people with blank pledge forms sitting on their desks should submit them next week.

“The services the United Way supports benefit everyone,” Finn said. “Any donation is appreciated and will be put to good use.”

Brock’s United Way campaign lasts six weeks. Its goal is $112,000. Even when the goal is not met by the official end date, which this year is Nov. 26, the campaign continues unofficially until the end of the year, Lawr said.

“Next week may be the end of our six-week campaign, but the books stay open until the end of the year,” he said. “People can get their donations in any time before Christmas.”

As of Nov. 18, about $86,000 has been raised.

United Way events at Brock this year have included:

Each Friday, a musician performs in Market Hall at lunch time as donations are collected by United Way.
