University medical director Dr. Darrell Grant was interviewed for “H1N1 hits Niagara’s wallet” in the St. Catharines Standard Dec. 12. The article says about 5 per cent, or 79 of Brock’s 1,529 employees, took at least one sick day between September and early December. In all, the University spent an estimated $10,000 on costs ranging from hand sanitizer to an extra nurse at the Student Health Services office.
