Do you want to understand more about how engaging in leisure activities can help you recover from a traumatic event?

Or the impact that your child’s competitive hockey has on the time you spend at work and with your family? Or why and how philosophy should taught in Ontario’s high schools?

Then you’d better head over to Geurnsey Market on Tuesday, Feb. 12 to check out these and other research posters that will be on display from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Most of the researchers will be available to answer questions from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The poster display is part of the Brock Research Celebration, a one-day event highlighting research excellence at Brock University. An awards presentation to recognize research leadership will wrap up the event, starting at 3:45 p.m.

The event is an opportunity for business leaders, community service providers and others, including faculty and students, to interact with researchers one-on-one, explains Gary Libben, Vice-President of Research.

“There is true research excellence at Brock,” says Libben. “We have the capacity for great innovation, new alliances, and new partnerships. The Research Celebration allows us to recognize our research successes as we develop further our research intensiveness, our partnerships with communities, and our research profile as an institution.”
