BUSU to host free community barbecues

Brock University Students’ Union (BUSU) is doing its part to ensure community relations are well done when it hosts its annual community barbecues next week.

BUSU will fire up the grill in St. Catharines on Monday, Oct. 1 at the Church of the Transfiguration on Glenridge Avenue from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

A Thorold edition of the free barbecue happens Wednesday, Oct. 3 at South Confederation Park from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

This is the fifth year BUSU has hosted free community barbecues. It started the initiative to connect students with their neighbours to help improve community relations.

Union Station, BUSU’s food court, and Foodland Thorold will donate more than 2,000 burgers, hot dogs and veggie burgers to feed the masses attending the barbecues.
