Undergraduate Sessional Dates  
An academic timetable (Registration Guide) giving the times and locations of all courses offered in any one session (Fall/Winter, Spring or Summer) is available on the Registrar's Website at: http://www.BrockU.CA/registrar/birtguides/index.html prior to the beginning of the session. NOTE: All dates refer to undergraduate studies unless otherwise specified.

Monday, May 2 First day of classes for duration 1 and duration 2 courses. Please consult the Spring and Summer Registration Guide for further details. Sunday, May 8 Last day for duration 1 and duration 2 late registration and course changes without permission of the instructor. Brock Registration System closes for duration 1 and duration 2 adds; last day to drop courses without financial penalty. After this date, manual course change requests are required. Monday, May 23 Victoria Day. University closed; library open. (see note 1) Friday, May 27 Last day for withdrawal without academic penalty and last day to change from credit to audit status for duration 2 courses. Friday, June 3 Last day of lectures for duration 2 courses. Friday, June 3 and Saturday, June 4 Progress examinations for duration 1 courses and final examinations for duration 2 courses. Monday, June 6 First day of classes for duration 3 courses. Monday, June 6 to Friday, June 10 Spring Convocation. Sunday, June 12 Last day for duration 3 late registration and course changes without permission of the instructor. Brock Registration System closes for duration 3 adds; last day to drop courses without financial penalty. After this date, manual course change requests are required. Friday, June 24 Last day for withdrawal without academic penalty and last day to change from credit to audit status for duration 1 courses. Thursday, June 30 Last day for withdrawal without academic penalty and last day to change from credit to audit status for duration 3 courses. Friday, July 1 and Monday, July 4 Canada Day closure. University closed; library open. Friday, July 1 Last for receipt of applications to graduate at Fall Convocation. Friday, July 8 Last day of lectures for duration 1 and duration 3 courses. Friday, July 8 and Saturday, July 9 Final examinations for duration 1 and duration 3 courses.

Friday, July 15 Last day for duration 1 late registration and course changes without permission of the instructor. Brock Registration System closes for duration 1 adds; last day to drop courses without financial penalty. After this date, manual course change requests are required. Monday, August 1 Civic holiday. University closed; library open. Friday, August 12 Last day for withdrawal without academic penalty and last day to change from credit to audit status for duration 1 courses. Thursday, August 25 Last day of lectures for duration 1 courses. Thursday, August 25 and Friday, August 26 Final examinations for duration 1 courses.

Monday, September 5 Labour day. University closed; library closed. Tuesday, September 6 First day of Fall/Winter Session, duration 1 and duration 2 (Pre- Service Education Program). Thursday, September 8 First day of Fall/Winter Session, duration 1 and duration 2, day and evening sections (undergraduate program). Friday, September 23 Last day for duration 1 and duration 2 late registration and course changes without permission of the instructor. Brock Registration System closes for duration 1 and duration 2 adds; last day to drop courses without financial penalty. After this date, manual course change requests are required. Monday, October 10 Thanksgiving Day. University closed; library closed. Saturday, October 15 Fall Convocation. Sunday, October 16 Fall Open House. Friday, November 4 Last date for withdrawal without academic penalty and last day to change from credit to audit status for duration 2 courses without academic penalty. Thursday, December 8 Last day of lectures, Fall Term, duration 2 courses (see note 2) Make up day for Thanksgiving Day classes. See note 2. Friday, December 9 Snow day/reading day (see note 3). Monday, December 12 First day of term, Winter Term, Pre-service Education Program. Saturday, December 10 to Friday, December 21 Progress examinations for duration 1 courses and final examinations for duration 2 courses. Saturday, December 24 to Tuesday, December 27; Sunday, January 1 to Tuesday, January 3 Christmas and New Year holiday. University closed; library closed. Tuesday, December 27 to Saturday, December 31 Reduced access to University services.  
WINTER 2006 Go to top of document
Tuesday, January 3 University reopens. Winter Term resumes, Pre-Service Education Program. Tuesday, January 3 First day of Winter Term, undergraduate programs. Saturday, January 7 Emergency examination date (December exams). Monday, January 16 Last day for duration 3 late registration and course changes without permission of the instructor. Brock Registration System closes for duration 3 adds; last day to drop courses without financial penalty. After this date, manual course change requests are required. Last date for withdrawal without academic penalty and last day to change from credit to audit status for duration 1 courses. Wednesday, February 1 Last day for receipt of applications to graduate at Spring Convocation. Monday, February 13 to Friday, February 17 Reading Week. No classes will be held in undergraduate programs. Friday, February 17 President's Holiday. Administrative offices closed; Registrar's Office and library open. Friday, March 3 Last date for withdrawal without academic penalty and last day to change from credit to audit status for duration 3 courses. Sunday, March 5 Open House Monday, March 13 to Friday, March 17 Spring break. No classes will be held in the Pre-service Education Program. Monday, April 10 Last day of lectures for durations 1 and 3 courses. Tuesday, April 11 and Wednesday, April 12 Snow/Reading day(s) (see program note 3). Thursday, April 13 to Thursday, April 27 Final examinations for duration 1 and duration 3 courses. No examinations will be held on Good Friday, April 14. Friday, April 14 Good Friday. University closed; library open. Notes:
1.  The May 27 day in Spring D2 term will be used to replace Victoria Day classes. The schedule will be that of a Monday.
  2.The extra day in the Fall Term will be used to replace
Thanksgiving Day classes. The schedule will be that of a Monday.
A snow day will be used to cover classes missed because of adverse weather (if needed). Otherwise, it will be a reading day.
The day of the week missed will determine the replacement schedule for classes.
