Reconnect to Food: Getting Started with Intuitive Eating
Most of us KNOW what healthy eating looks like, but knowing is not the same as doing, is it? To tackle the challenges that keep tripping us up, we have the Intuitive Eating approach. Instead of discipline and will power, learn how to develop Mind-Body-Emotional awareness around food and eating, bringing wants and needs a little closer together, bit by bit.
About the presenter: Monika is a Registered Dietitian in private practice in Niagara, focusing on plant-based nutrition and behavioural/psychological elements underpinning personal challenges with food and diet. She comes from a rich educational training which included one year spent in Medical School at the University of Western Ontario, followed by graduate work in Classics studying the ancient Mediterranean Diet. She received her dietetic training from UBC and practiced for 7 years in Primary Care, where she learned from her patients and clients that there's a subtle art to fostering authentic shifts in habit and lifestyle.
