Race to the North Pole

Want to ramp up your physical activity prior to indulging in the treats associated with the Holiday season? Join us in our trek to the North Pole and back! Participants accumulate kilometers by walking or running for the purpose of physical activity, i.e. treadmill, elliptical, track, or use of a Fitbit or pedometer, etc. Record the distance travelled from December 1 through to December 21, 2016 on the tracking sheet provided and return to Health Management at the end of the challenge. As a team, we will see if we can make it to the North Pole and back before the holiday season, which is approximately 10,442 kilometers (5221 km each way). Prior to the launch of the challenge, those registered will receive an email with an attachment to the Race to the North Pole tracking sheet. For those who return their tracking sheet at the end of the challenge, Health Management will draw a name of one lucky participant who will win a campus store gift card. Please note, as with any exercise, please consult your Physician prior to starting any new exercise program.

December 1 through to December 21, 2016. Please note that there is no workshop associated with this challenge, this is for registration purposes only.
