The Bachelor of Arts (Pass) Community Health program focuses on community health and wellness emphasizing health promotion and health assessment as well as program development and evaluation. This foundational degree provides a broad overview of societal trends and systems related to health issues. Early during undergraduate studies, it is the students' responsibility to research prerequisites for advanced courses as well as admission requirements for any post-graduate programs to which they may plan to apply.

Program Notes
  1. To proceed to year 2, students must achieve a minimum grade of 60 percent in HLSC 1F90 and one of STAT 1F92, 1P98, 1P99, and have a minimum 60 percent major average and a minimum 60 percent overall average. To continue in the program after second year, students must achieve and maintain a minimum 60 percent major average and a minimum 60 percent overall average.
  2. BIOL 1P23, 1P24, 1P27, 1P28, 1P91 or 1P92 are recommended for students in the Community Health program.
  3. At least one credit each year must be taken outside the Department of Health Sciences. Suggested electives include CANA 1F91, COMM 1P96, 1P97, CHYS 1F90, ENGL 1P92, ENSU 2P01, 2P02, GEOG 1F90, HIST 1P90, IASC 1F02, INDG 1F90, PSYC 1F90, SOCI 1P90, 1P91, TOUR 1P91, 1P92, WGST 1F90.
  4. In 15 credit degree programs a maximum of eight credits may be numbered 1(alpha)00 to 1(alpha)99; at least three credits must be numbered 2(alpha)90 or above; and the remaining credits must be numbered 2(alpha)00 or above.
    In some circumstances, in order to meet university degree and program requirements, more than 15 credits may be taken.
