The Department of Nursing offers two Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) programs: the Brock University-Loyalist College Collaborative Nursing Baccalaureate Program, and the BScN Degree Completion Program.

The Brock University-Loyalist College Collaborative Nursing Baccalaureate Program is a four-year, full-time, limited enrolment program. Upon successful completion of the first two years at Loyalist College, Belleville, students will continue their final two years of study at Brock University. Graduates are eligible to write the provincial registration examinations.

The BScN Degree Completion Program is a limited enrolment program designed for registered nurses wanting to obtain a BScN degree. The program requires successful completion of a minimum of ten Brock credits involving a minimum of 15 months of full-time study and a maximum of six years part time.

Admissions
1.  Admission to the BScN Degree Completion Program requires successful completion of a three-year diploma in nursing (or equivalent) with a minimum 70 percent overall average, a license to practice as a registered nurse from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
2.  In addition to the academic requirements, Brock University-Loyalist College Collaborative Nursing Baccalaureate Program students and BScN Degree Completion Program students must submit the following:
·   Proof of Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification ­ Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Level C valid for the period of the clinical placements.
·   Proof of Immunizations ­ valid for the period of the clinical placements.
·   Criminal Record Check ­ may be required by some clinical placement agencies.

Program Notes
  1. A Humanities context or Social Science context credit is recommended.
  2. Failure to succeed after two attempts in a practicum course will result in dismissal from the program.
  3. In all 20 credit degree programs at least 12 credits must be numbered 2(alpha)00 or above, six of which must be numbered 2(alpha)90 or above and of these, three must be numbered 3(alpha)90 or above. In all 15 credit degree programs, at least seven credits must be numbered 2(alpha)00 or above, three of which must be numbered 2(alpha)90 or above.
