ITIS 1P97 Management of Information Systems General information systems concepts. The use and management of information systems and information technology in business organizations including the web, Internet, intranet, extranet and e-commerce. The application and evaluation of control and security measures in information system resources. Lectures, labs, 3 hours per week. Restriction: open to students admitted to BBA and BAcc until date specified in BIRT guide. After that date open to BBA and BAcc students. In Fall term open to students admitted to BBA and BAcc Co-op until date specified in BIRT guide. After that date open to BBA and BAcc students.
ITIS 3P97 Management Information Technology Information systems in business organizations. The analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of information systems to increase quality, acceptance and productivity within the organization and to improve customer service. Lectures, labs, 3 hours per week. Restriction: open to BBA students. Prerequisite: ITIS 1P97 Note: enrolment limited to 40 students per section. Completion of this course will replace previous assigned grade in ACTG 3P22 and MGMT 4P12.
