The Department of Community Health Sciences offers a four year program of study leading to an honours BSc in Nursing. A BSc in Nursing degree completion program is also offered.

The Honours BSc in Nursing is taken in collaboration with Loyalist College, in Belleville, Ontario. This is a limited enrolment, four year program. The first two years are taken at Loyalist College and the final two years are taken at Brock. Following completion of the degree, students will be eligible to write the certification exam to become a Registered Nurse. The collaborative program is progressive in nature and is unique in that it has a focus on community nursing with the opportunity to practice in two different settings.

The BSc in Nursing degree completion program is a limited enrolment program designed for Registered Nurses wishing to obtain a BSc N. Admission consideration requires successful completion of a three year diploma in Nursing (or equivalent) with a minimum 70 percent average, a license to practice as a Registered Nurse and a good standing with the College of Nurses in Ontario. The program requires successful completion of a minimum of eight Brock credits and may be accomplished on a full-time basis over twelve months or on a part-time basis.

In both degrees a core of Community Health Sciences courses is supplemented by a broad choice of electives.
