General Information

I.  An Introduction

For over 30 years Brock University has evolved as an intellectual, cultural and recreational centre for the Niagara Region. The University was named for General Sir Isaac Brock, commander of the British Forces during the War of 1812. His last words are said to be, "Surgite! Push on!" which have become the University's motto.

II.  The Campus

Brock University is a beautiful place in which to study. Surrounded by orchards and farmland, the campus is located on the Niagara Escarpment overlooking the city of St. Catharines, Ontario. The campus encompasses some of the most inviting woods and countryside in the peninsula and includes a section of the Bruce Trail. A one-hour drive from Toronto and even closer to Hamilton and Niagara Falls, Brock offers you the best of both worlds - an opportunity to study in a safe, friendly atmosphere, while providing easy access to larger urban centres.
