Call for faculty and librarian self-nominations for an Advisory Group on Artificial Intelligence

The advent of GPT4 and other similar technologies has catalyzed a robust debate within higher education about the implications of artificial intelligence for a range of academic activities, including teaching, learning, and scholarship. With a view to ensuring that operational decision-making at Brock benefits from our significant in-house expertise, the Provost and Vice-President, Academic is constituting an Advisory Group on Artificial Intelligence.

The purpose of this group (which will meet monthly) is to advise the Provost and Vice-President, Academic on matters related to the impact of artificial intelligence on academic activities. Faculty members and professional librarians with scholarly or other relevant expertise who wish to serve on this advisory group may express their interest by sending an email to provost@brocku.ca by April 28.
