The Brock University Unity Cup is a friendly cricket match consisting of Brock International students between Indian and Pakistani players. The match will be held August 16th at 1:00 p.m. at the Niagara Cricket Centre. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime match!
Why is this Significant
India vs. Pakistan is one of the biggest rivalries in sport, with over 2 billion cricket crazy fans living in the two nations. Both teams only play each other in world cup matches once every year. The friendly match is a unique opportunity for both Brock students and community members to experience the rivalry first-hand and help promote the sport of cricket to the local community.

With the help of CSC Member and Assistant Professor of Sport Management Dr. Taylor McKee, Harshit Baveja started an Independent Study on creating a cricket team at Brock University. The goal is to unite Brock international students and to eventually start a cricket club at Brock.
Members of Brock University’s first cricket program also spoke at a webinar hosted by the Centre for Sport Capacity. This facilitated discussion touched on their stories and experiences as well as the powerful impact bringing cricket to the Brock University community has meant to them.
