Banting Postdoctoral Fellow
I am a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Geography, Brock University, and I serve as Chair of the Recreation, Tourism, and Sport Specialty Group of the Association of American Geographers.
I am also a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Tourism and Hospitality, University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and an Associate Researcher at the Department of Tourism Studies and Geography, Mid Sweden University.
I serve on the Steering Committee of the International Polar Tourism Research Network (IPTRN) and will co-organize IPTRN VI in Yukon in 2018 with Suzanne de la Barre (Vancouver Island University). I am a consulting editor for Tourism Geographies and an editorial board member of Polar Geography.
Originally from Limerick, Ireland, I have been conducting research in Sweden, Ireland, and Canada since 2008. My Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship (2015-2017) will focus on tourism development across the Niagara region of Canada.
