The Behaviour Analyst Certification Board, Inc.® has changed their terminology referring to course sequences to provide greater clarity. Previously, course sequences were described as “Approved.” Effective May 2017, the new terminology refers to “Verified” course sequences. Learn more.
The Association for Behavior Analysis International has verified certain courses we offer toward the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst® (Option 1) examination for Task Lists Editions 4 and 5.
Applicants will need to meet additional requirements before they can be deemed eligible to take the examination.
The Department of Applied Disability Studies verified courses include: ADST 5P70, ADST 5P71, ADST 5P72, ADST 5P73, ADST 5P74, ADST 5P75, ADST 5P76, and an elective (1 of ADST 5V70, ADST 5V71, ADST 5V72, ADST 5V73, and ADST 5P42).
This means that when graduates of our MA, MADS, and Diploma (ABA stream) who have completed our Verified Course Sequence (VCS) apply for BCBA certification, they will not be required to submit specific course information as our course sequence has been verified.
BCBA Exam Pass rates for students passing the first time they write the BCBA exam can be found at the link below.
The online application will allow you to select Brock University and then select the course numbers that you have taken from a drop-down menu, providing you apply for certification under the 4th Edition Task List. Always consult www.bacb.com to determine requirements at the time of application (e.g. supervised experience, degree completion, etc.).
