The SJRI has a small discretionary fund available to co-sponsor Brock-related events that:
- feature transdisciplinary social justice research;
- are (co)organized by or involve at least one SJRI affiliate; and
- are open to SJRI affiliates only or also the Brock and Niagara communities.
SJRI will typically allocate between $50 and $250 per event; however, another amount will be considered if justified by the size and scope of the event.[1] In most circumstances, SJRI will pay smaller expenses directly (e.g. refreshments; printing) or contribute to larger event expenses (i.e. speaker fees) rather than issue a cheque for the full amount to the speaker/organization directly.
There is no application deadline; requests are welcome throughout the year and are subject to budgetary availability. Please submit this request form a minimum of 30 days prior to the event.
