Approach

Stakeholder Engagement:

The success of the project is dependent on ongoing stakeholder engagement. The project will solicit the input of diverse groups of students, staff, and faculty to provide insight, test features and provide needed feedback to support the design, development and deployment process.

Requests for stakeholder participation and project progress will be noted on this website.

Guiding Principles:

  • Student-centred
  • Future-oriented and attuned to emerging technologies, issues and trends.
  • Solution-focused with positive intentions
  • Inclusive collaboration that is respectful of the diversity of perspectives and needs
  • Boundary spanning to reduce organizational silos

Over the past several months, the University has been considering the feasibility of replacing its current Student Information System. In January of 2018, Dr. James Mandigo, Vice-Provost, Enrolment and International named Dr. Camille Rutherford to the position of Associate Vice-Provost, Student Information Systems.

Dr. Rutherford will lead the investigation and implementation of a modern, cloud-based solution which will enable Brock to move forward with Student Systems Modernization. The project team will determine the fit of the student solution offered by our current Finance and Human Resources software provider, Workday as well as other leading providers.

The Executive Committee has overall authority and responsibility for the project and ensures communication with the Board, Senate and the University President.  The committee approves any project scope and funding changes, key oversight decisions and major deliverables.
