After receiving your application, the East Service Desk will contact you within 10 business days to confirm your booking details and to take a credit card to guarantee your accommodation.  The cancellation policy is indicated below.

Upon guaranteeing your residence, a confirmation email will be sent to you by the East Service Desk.

Accommodation from July 1-31 is $675 with no additional taxes.  If you wish to arrive before July 1 (as early as June 24) the fees are billed nightly at $22.50/night.  There are no taxes applicable.

Refund, cancellation or changes to your reservation

Refunds – Payment is due on arrival.  There are no refunds for early departure after check-in.

Cancellation – 30+ days prior to July 1st there is no penalty; Less than 30 days prior to July 1st 50% of the total amount as penalty; On or after July 1st there is no refund.

Starting Sunday, May 1, 2022, the university requires all students living in residence to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

During your accommodation in Residence, you must comply with all University requirements related to COVID-19, including but not limited to; providing proof of full vaccination prior to move-in (unless an exemption on medical or other human rights grounds has been approved), participating in the University’s rapid antigen screening program if you have been approved for exemption from the university’s vaccination requirements, completing health and safety training, following public health screening protocols, cooperating with contact tracing obligations, and abiding by self-isolation protocols.

In addition, in order to be eligible for admission to Residence, you must also complete the University’s COVID-19 informed consent which ensures that you understand the risks associated with living in Residence during the pandemic and confirms your agreement to complying with all applicable health and safety and notice requirements. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in termination of your Registration.

Due to the public health measures which may be necessary as a result of COVID-19, the University reserves the right to delay occupancy or terminate this agreement if (1) the University determines that it is prudent or necessary to do so for reasons of public health or student safety, or (2) the University is required by law, order or directive to close one or more of its residences, to limit the number of persons residing in residence, or such other law, order or directive affecting the normal operation of its residences. In such circumstances, the University will provide reasonable notice and process credit for a portion of the residence fees as the University determines appropriate in its absolute discretion.

Live with Friends

We are happy to assign up to 4 students to live together. Simply indicate each other’s name on your application requests in the notes section. Please note that this may not be possible for us to assign students together when applying late, if you wish to live with friends, please submit your applications as soon as possible.

What to do if you want to live with some friends

  • Decide on one person to be the coordinator of your group.
  • On your online application indicate the friends that you would like to stay in your unit. Each unit has a maximum of up to 4 students.
  • Contact your friends and have them include you on their application for housemates.
  • All friends must list all other friends in their applications to be considered a friendship group.

How assignments are made?

Students are placed based on the information provided on their application. While we do our best, we may not be able to accommodate every request on an application.

Townhouses

Students have the economical option of cooking for themselves when they live in a townhouse residence. Up to four guests share a common kitchen for preparing meals. You will need to bring your own dinnerware and cookware or purchase a Care Package upon arrival from the East Service Desk.

On Campus

Do you require linens?  You can order from Residence Linens and have it delivered right to your room in time for your arrival on campus.

There are 2 laundry rooms in Quarry View Residence.  The cost for a wash or dry is $1.75/load.  If the students have a Brock Student card they can load this with tender online or at the Brock One Card office.  If they do not have a student card, limited prepaid laundry cards are available for purchase from the East Service Desk.

What to bring?

On arrival, each room will be equipped with a mattress pad.  Guests are to provide their own linens and all other room requirements. Housekeeping is not provided during your stay on campus.  Vacuums are available to sign out at the East Service Desk upon request.  For a full list of what is acceptable and what to bring visit this link.

On check-in or after arrival, a Care Package can be purchased for $50 at the service desk if desired.  The set is sufficient for basic supplies for a unit.  You may choose to purchase this with your housemates and split the cost equally.

Each care package for a 3 bedroom unit will include the following items (a 4 or 5 bedroom unit will have 1 or 2 additional of each dinnerware items):

– dinnerware (3 cups, 3 cereal bowls, 3 plates, 3 glasses, 3 knives, 3 forks, 3 spoons)
– cookware (1 frying pan, 1 large pot with lid, 1 cutting knife, 1 spatula)
– cleaning supplies (1 small dish soap, 1 wash cloth, 1 drying towel)
– 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 bar soap, 1 large garbage bag, 1 small garbage bag, 3 hangers/room

Unit Rentals are now SOLD OUT.

Each townhouse unit is equipped with a kitchen and living room in addition to 3 or 4 single bedrooms and 1.5-2 washrooms.

Unit rentals are for a minimum of 30 days and are subject to availability.  The rate is $2,360 for a 3 bedroom and $3,250 for a 4 bedroom unit for 30-days. A non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of the total rental price noted here is due by May 31st. The remaining balance is payable in full on arrival.

The bedrooms are located on the upper or lower floor and include: a single/twin bed and  student furnishings.  The main floor washroom has a shower, toilet and sink.  The second floor has a full bathroom with shower/tub, sink and toilet. The kitchen has a full fridge, microwave and full stove. Linens are not provided. On arrival, each room will be equipped with a mattress pad.  Guests are to provide their own linens and all other room requirements. No air-breathing pets are permitted in residence unless they are a service animal.  Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas outside of the residence area.
