What is the Connect program?
As residence looks a little different this year, we are getting creative about the ways that we connect you with people in your community. By filling out the form located above you are signing up to be paired with another residence student who has similar interests.
Why sign up for the Connect Program?
A lot of residence friendships and relationships are often formed organically through conversations in the hallway, hanging out after a community meeting, or running into someone at an event. In a digitally focused year, we wanted to create new opportunities to connect. We want to do what we can to help build these friendships and relationships and we hope that the Connect Program is one of the ways we can make that happen!
Where would students meet/how often?
Once students are matched, they are encouraged to meet digitally over Microsoft Teams. Should students wish to meet in person, students should consider and abide by the Residence Community Standards and Public Health Guidelines. Students are encouraged to meet “face to face” at least once, and we hope it will lead to many more meetings!
How to sign up for the Connect Program?
Residence students will be encouraged to fill out a form about their interests/hobbies in order to be paired with another residence student with similar interests/hobbies. The form will open on September 6th and close on September 16th. Students will be notified of their “buddy” shortly afterwards.
