Graduate Micro-Programs in Professional Kinesiology

  • Clinical Practice in Kinesiology

Type/Duration:

  • Part-time, course-based
  • Three half credits to complete the program (courses to take are outlined in the graduate calendar)
  • Maximum of two half credits per term (program can be completed in as little as eight months or two terms)

  • Spring (May)
  • Fall (September)
  • Winter (January)

Admission requirements

  • Master's program requirements with a minimum 78% average over the last two years of full-time undergraduate study. Students who do not meet these requirements may be considered if they can demonstrate equivalent competencies.
    • This may include, but is not limited to:
      • a three-year diploma or degree coupled with relevant work experience (usually 3+ years);
      • significant and related professional experience (usually 5+ years);
      • substantial and relevant learning and skills development.
  • Completed coursework is required in the following:
    • human biomechanics
    • human psychomotor learning
    • assessment and exercise prescription
    • ergonomics
    • exercise physiology

    • academic transcripts (from all previously completed and in progress post-secondary studies)
    • CV/resume detailing educational background and professional experience
    • Letter of intent (500 words max.) describing relevant educational, professional and/or leadership experiences
