Effective Oct 1, 2018, the cost of photocopying on campus will be adjusted as a result of rising equipment leasing costs, toner and paper prices and maintenance charges.

Black & white copy rates go to 11 cents (from 10 cents); colour copy rates go to 30 cents (from 20 cents); and the cost of scans will be 3 cents each.

In a survey of 22 Canadian (mainly Ontario) post-secondary institutions, the average cost for colour copies is 36 cents while the average cost for black & white copies is 9.5 cents.

This is the first rate increase at Brock in more than five years, and enables the University to responsibly pay its operating costs while being fair to users.
