  • PRN/EPTC special joint panel on posthumanist methods at UBC on June 4th, 2019

    Jointly with EPTC, we are hosting a special panel on the theme “On the Advantages and Disadvantages of Posthumanist Methods for Life” at the Canadian Congress of the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences in Vancouver (BC) on June 4th, 2019. The panel takes place 14:00 to 17:30 in room 112 in the Allard Building of UBC campus. The presentations are as follows:

  • Environmental Buzzwords and their Meanings – PRI/ESRC joint event

    In partnership with our partner, the Environmental Sustainability Research Centre, the PRI is hosting a round-table on the meanings of environmental buzzwords. The event features speakers from each research unit followed by a general discussion. This will take place on January 16, 2019, in Plaza 600F, from 1 to 3 pm.  All are welcome!

  • Expressions and Images of the Posthuman Workshop April 2018

    With 15 participants and one keynote speaker, the inaugural workshop of the Posthumanism Research Network was a success. Despite the manifestation of hyperobject “global warming” in the form of an historic ice storm, we gathered, discussed, debated, and questioned the posthuman in its various manifestations. Thank you to all participants and stay tuned for information on next year’s workshop which will take place at our partner institution, Wilfrid Laurier University.
