Through outreach and services to Brock faculty, instructors, teaching assistants, and staff, the CPI endeavours to bring people together to explore effective teaching and learning practices, as well as innovative pedagogies, both in the classroom and in the online environment.
In 2013, the CPI and the Office of the Vice Provost Teaching and Learning created the Institutional Teaching and Learning Plan. This five year plan outlines the strategic direction and priorities of the Centre to be undertaken in collaboration with other stakeholders across the university.
The Plan promotes teaching excellence through the provision and development of teaching and learning environments that enhance undergraduate and graduate student engagement. We will continue to support vibrant classroom experiences as we build capacity in the areas of experiential education, service learning, blended and online learning, and the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). We will also continue to support efforts to review and renew curriculum through articulating and assessing learning outcomes at the course, program and institutional levels.
The CPI provides individual consultations, group workshops and university wide events related to current issues in post secondary education. We welcome all members of the university to visit our Centre.
You can send a general inquiry to the CPI or contact a member of the CPI through our website.
