Permits and regulations

Brock University provides parking facilities to faculty and staff either on a permit (term/annual) or a pay-per-use basis. Parking fees apply to everyone who parks their vehicles, including casual visitors and long-term guests to campus. Parking regulation times and rates are posted on parking meters and at the entrance to parking lots.

Parking permit options

Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Zone 1 permit holders are not guaranteed a space within Zone 1 at all times. If a situation arises when there is no space available within Zone 1, you will be directed to park in Zone 2, or you may pay at one of the many pay-per-use spaces on campus. Zone 1 permits are valid only in Lot A and Zone 2. Zone 1 permits are never valid in any reserved parking area.

Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Zone 2 permit holders are not guaranteed a space within Zone 2. Under normal circumstances, all permit holders will find a space. However, if a situation arises when there is no space available within Zone 2, you will be required to pay at one of the many pay-per-use spaces on campus. Zone 2 permits are valid only in Zone 2. Zone 2 permits are never valid in any reserved parking area.

A limited number of reserved permits are available only to faculty and staff within a reserved area within Lot A. This permit guarantees the holder a parking space in this area during core business hours, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This permit is also valid in Lot EA.

A limited number of reserved permits are available only to faculty and staff within Lot B. This permit guarantees the holder a parking space in this area during core business hours, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This permit is also valid in Lot EA.

A limited number of special reserved lots are located around the campus. Individuals possessing a special reserved permit will be contacted by inter-office mail to renew in July. Special reserved permits are reviewed and must be approved by appropriate Brock University administration. Individuals wishing to apply for a special reserved permit must email Parking Services.
