Brock University is pleased to offer more options for electric vehicles to charge their battery with ChargePoint! There are now 22 ports across 13 stations around campus for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) and Electric Vehicles (EVs) to charge their battery while parked. These ports take electricity from Brock’s nearby buildings and supply it to the vehicle at a fee.
Charging at all ChargePoint Electric Vehicle Charging Stations will require separate payment through the ChargePoint app. All vehicles charging are subject to Brock University Rules and Regulations and must validate their parking with any valid Brock University parking permit or HONK receipt.
ChargePoint Electric Vehicle Charging Station – How much does it cost to charge my battery?
Please Note: All vehicles must pay to park on campus via the HONK Mobile app or by displaying a valid Brock University parking permit before beginning to charge their electric vehicle through the ChargePoint app.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations FAQ
If you do not already have a ChargePoint account, please download the ChargePoint App to your mobile device and create an account to get started!
Once you park at the station, open the ChargePoint app on your smart device and ‘tap’ the device to the ChargePoint station screen. This will unlock the cable from the station for you to plug in your vehicle.
Don’t forget to validate your parking with a HONK receipt or displaying any valid Brock University parking permit.
Charging Stations are subject to Brock’s Parking Rules & Regulations and users must validate their parking with a HONK receipt for that lot or with an valid Brock University parking permit.

- $3.00/h after the first 30 minutes at a Level 2 Charger
- $10.00/h after the first 30 minutes at a Level 3 Charger
Note: Fees will continue to accumulate after the batter is fully charged and will only stop when the session concludes (when the vehicle is unplugged).
The electric vehicle charging spaces are enforced 24/7 like normal spaces. There are two tickets that could be issued in these spaces:
- Any vehicle parked in a charging space without being plugged in will receive a ticket, regardless of the type of vehicle, for obstructing the charging station.
- Any vehicle parked in a charging space without validating their parking by HONK receipt or valid Brock-issued permit.

Any compatible Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) or Electric Vehicles (EVs) can charge their vehicle at a ChargePoint electric vehicle charging station. All stations are publicly accessible and can be used by any Brock staff, student, community member, or simply anyone passing by the area.
