Off-Campus Communities

Connect, engage, and have an exceptional first year experience with Off-Campus Communities.

As a student living off-campus in your first year, your Off-Campus Community will connect you to a small group of students from similar academic programs, and a Peer Mentor who will provide you with personalized support, starting this September 2022.

If you are living in Residence, you will be connected through your on-campus residence community.

ABOUT OFF-CAMPUS COMMUNITIES

Off-Campus Communities bring together small groups of incoming students from similar academic programs and personal interests. Your Off-Campus Community is a place where students living off-campus can connect with other first year students, make friends, attend events, ask questions, and learn about resources.

Each Community is led by a trained upper year student called a Peer Mentor who will support and guide you.

Off-Campus Communities are formed based on your similar programs of study and personal interests. There are approximately 40-60 students in your Off-Campus Community.

Each Community is led by a trained upper year student called a Peer Mentor who will support and guide you. Your Off-Campus Community will also include one professional staff member and an additional upper-level student called a Senior Leader.

new undergraduate Students

If you are an incoming undergraduate student this Fall, there is no need to join!  All students not living in Residence will be placed in an Off-Campus Community in early September. Make sure to check your Brock email for details!

Your Peer Mentor will create opportunities for you to connect with other students in your Off-Campus Community through events and weekly discussion topics. Your Peer Mentor will guide and support you to find opportunities to get involved and help you get started in the Campus-Wide Co-Curriculum (CWC).
