Crisis or urgent referrals

Each day during business hours both Personal Counselling and Student Health Services have emergency appointments available. These services work together, as needed, to facilitate crisis care or transfer of care to the Emergency Department at the Niagara Health System.

If a faculty or staff member is concerned, the most important thing to keep in mind is Campus Security is accessible 24/7 and can be notified of any emergency situation by calling x3200.


If you have a student you feel needs to be seen urgently, you can make an assisted referral by calling 1 833 BROCK 33 24/7:

  • Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre, Personal Counselling is provided by Morneau Shepell Counsellors out of 4th floor ST. Appointments can be made 24/7 by calling 1 833 BROCK 33. Urgent support is available via phone counselling or an urgent walk in.
  • Student Health Services has daily urgent care walk-in hours in both the morning and the afternoon. For exact times and location, call x3243 or visit the SHS website. You can also book an appointment with the Mental Health Nurse.
