Interested in creating beautiful graphics and videos about your research, but not sure where to start? Canva for Research Communication is an interactive workshop that will teach you how to use the web-based design software Canva to create digital research assets. Participants will be introduced to Canva’s basic tools and functions, as well as some of the necessary steps for creating three popular types of digital research assets: videos, presentations, and infographics.

The workshop will be led by Kait Kribs, the Digital Research Communications Officer for the Brock LINC. Kait has a PhD in Communication and Culture from York University and spent numerous years researching, writing, and teaching about digital culture and creative labour. Prior to pursuing graduate school, Kait worked as a freelance graphic designer for a number of print publications, specializing in editorial layout.
