Project & Innovation Space

Brock LINC Project Space is the open-concept staff space on RFP 300. This space is where Brock LINC staff are located, but it is also open to internal university partners as a temporary workspace for projects that are supporting an innovation challenge, whether at Brock, in the community, or globally.

Project space partners have access to the space and amenities in RFP 300, but also participate in the Brock innovation community by giving talks, presentations, and attending innovation socials at the Brock LINC. By joining the project space, partners commit to contributing to the innovation community at Brock.

Current project space partners come from the following Brock departments, research institutes, and research centres

  • Brock LINC
  • Goodman Group
  • Centre for Sport Capacity
  • Niagara Community Observatory

Some of the innovation challenges that are being supported in the space include

  • Research on the adoption of agri-tech in Niagara, in collaboration with the local agricultural sector
  • Social innovation in entrepreneurship – how to address the barriers for women in entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the Workforce Collective
  • How to reduce the barriers that prevent more small affordable housing builds, in partnership with the Niagara Region
  • How to increase capacity for sport organizations in Niagara, and to use sport as an economic driver for the Niagara region
