Support the Library

Gifts and Donations

We are extremely proud of the James A. Gibson Library’s collections and services. The Library provides students, faculty and staff with access to millions of books, electronic journals, print journal subscriptions, ebooks, microforms, maps and audio visual materials, and an increasing range of reference resources in both print and electronic formats. In addition, the Library houses a unique collection of special materials pertaining to the Niagara Region.

As Brock University continues to expand its academic programs and research activities, your donation will help us meet the growing information needs of our students and faculty. Monetary donations as well as gifts of books and other materials enable us to enhance our collections and improve our services.

Planned Giving – A Gift for the Future

Donors may wish to include the University Library in their estate plans. The most common form of planned giving is simply including a statement in a will designating the University Library to receive part of an estate. An easy way of leveraging the amount of support an average person can give is to take out an insurance policy naming the University as a beneficiary. Modest monthly payments can generate a substantial gift after death and you will receive an income tax receipt for the premium payments while you are alive.

Other forms of planned giving include RRSP’s, RRIF’s, gifts of listed securities, Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts.
