The Provincial Land Cover is a comprehensive, landscape-level inventory of natural, rural and urban areas in northern Ontario. The 2nd edition covers territory north of the southern boundary of the Canadian Shield. The classification was produced from 25-metre resolution satellite imagery (Landsat-7) and may not be well-suited to site-specific studies. The inventory represents the landscape from 1999 to 2002.
